    Description

Measures approximately 3 1/2 inches tall and 3 5/8 inches wide including handle.
Beautiful antique ruby flash glass mug with etched image of an eagle with outstretched wings resting on a branch.
The cup is dated 1910 and was purchased at the Southwest Washington Fair.
A man’s name of Frank T. Miller is etched below the eagle.
A 2013 article in "The Chronicle" newspaper, serving Lewis County, Washington, stated that in 1910 the Frank Miller Balloon and Amusement Company came to Chehalis and set up tent shows as well as balloon ascensions.  He had come to Chehalis several times including in 1904 when he built a balloon in the old Tynan opera house and made successful ascensions rising from the vacant lot opposite the depot.  We do not know if this is the same Frank Miller mentioned on the glass.
