Ruby glass souvenirs were sold in vast numbers at fairs, monuments, train depots and resorts from the 1880s to 1910 and to a lesser extent through the late 1920s.  They were then etched to commemorate the place or event at which it was sold.
The charm of this glass is not only in its beauty. Ruby stained souvenir glass was affordable when it was produced and is extremely affordable today. The ruby coloring has some small scratches and specks. The glass itself has no damage.
