Vintage poly-plastic "swag bag" for carrying souvenirs, estimated to be from the 1985 Illinois State Fair in Springfield, Illinois.
On one side, the white bag promotes the campaign of "Governor Jim Thompson," a Republican who served from 1977 to 1991, the longest of any Prairie State executive in history.
Thompson died in August 2020 at the age of 84.
The other side of the bag reads, "Build Illinois," a statewide infrastructure improvement program approved by the General Assembly and signed into law by Thompson in 1985.
    Bag measures 15" x 11 3/4".  It has a 1" x 3 1/2" grab-handle opening at the top.
Items are stored in a smoke-free environment.
