Estate fresh vintage 1947 Brooklyn Navy Yard boxing medal from the personal items of boxing promoter Sam Silverman.
Sam Silverman was a notable cigar chomping figure in the world of Mid-Century professional boxing with a laundry list of nicknames like Sad Sam, Suitcase Sam, Unsinkable Sam, and Subway Sam. He promoted many high profile fights and is best well known for promoting 31 or Rocky Marciano's 49 fights.
